He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sassman and Marion Sassman (Durham); and his parents-in-law, Victor and Aera Ringhouse. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Rodgers of Quincy, IL; his children, Michelle (Sassman), Bahr (Randy) of Eagar, AZ, Dr. Michael Sassman (Shannon) and Mark Sassman of Flagstaff, AZ; his grandchildren, Hannah (Preston Bahr), Anna (Sassman), Kastrup (Devin), Jonah, Noah, Ian, Ali and Emma Sassman; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Coyle of Hamilton, IL and Robert Coyle of Hamilton, IL..
