With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Maas of Quincy, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer John and Coletta Lucy Maas (Wellman); and his daughter Sharie Marie Maas. He is survived by: his wife Connie Louise Moenning; his children, Debra Schaffer (Bob) of Quincy, IL, Jeff Maas (Gayle) of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheryl Burghart (Brad) of Quincy and Kevin Maas (Beth) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Jason Powell (Jessie), Zack Powell, Brooke Rast (Jake), Rachel Maas (Rita), Breann, Evan Burghart and Maddie Maas; his stepgrandsons, Scott Schaffer and Sam Harris; his great grandchildren, Ashtun Powell, Caleb, Bryce and Alivia Rast; his siblings, Lucille Nieders (Fritzie), Thomas Maas (Julie) and Elmer Maas (Jeanie); his sisters-in-law, Joann Moenning and Mary Moenning; his nieces, Theresa Niesen, Thesesa Shipe, Wanda Rossmiller and Marie Yates; his siblings, Rosie Benz, Loretta Klauser, Barbara Hilgenbrink, Virgil Maas, Clarence Maas, Clara Neisen, Joan Dreyer, Florence Smith, Raymond Maas, Melvin Maas and Gerald Maas; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Moenning and Stan Moenning.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Church (2223 St Anthony Rd, Quincy, IL 62305). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (2223 St Anthony Rd, Quincy, IL 62305).
