He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Amburn and Leona Amburn (Siebers); his sisters-in-law, Joan Amburn, Sara Bittorf and Toni Tully (Terry); his wife Helen L. Goodpaster; his daughter Kathy A. Veihl; and his brother Dave Amburn.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey L. Amburn (Mary Lynn) of Helenville, Wisconsin and Terry J. Amburn (Linda) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Meredith Wilcox (Adam), Bryant, Conner and Gavin Amburn; his great grandchildren, Olivia, McKenzie Wilcox, Abigail, Caden, Briella Sandoval, Wyatt Wade, Braeden, Isabella Lyons, Nick Crowder, Keaton, Noah Lyons, Grant and Hayes Holtschlag; his son-in-law Chris Veihl; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Roberts, Robert Dolph and Terry Lewis.
