He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Tipton and Hazel Tipton (Sole); his siblings, Bobby, Mike Tipton and Bonnie Steinkamp; his son-in-law Steven Dillinger; his grandson Laine Tipton; and his niece Bridget Bush.

He is survived by: his children, Lacey Tipton (Michael) of Palmyra, MO, Kacey Tipton-Dillinger (Corey) of Quincy and Kobey Tipton of Quincy; his stepson Brian Myers (Jenny); his grandchildren, Karter, Kamryn Patre and Jasper "Casper" Pratt; and his siblings, Jim Tipton (Vickie), Donnie Tipton (Sandy), Chris Tipton (Lisa), Mary Ewing (Bob), Bette Mabeus (Wayne), JoAnne Dirkschneider (Tom) and Teresa Klingele. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
