It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Buchanan of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ronald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ronald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Bess and Patricia Bess; and his grandson Larry Michael Butler. He is survived by: his wife Lorie Buchanan of Quincy, Illinois.; his children, Joseph Buchanan of Champaign and Leeann DeJaynes (Charlie) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.; his daughter-in-law Debi Baker of Palmyra; and his sisters, Rhonda and Monica.
