We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2024, at the age of 88, Seldon Dean Cheney of Quincy, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Mack Cheney and Edna Cheney (Elston); his daughter Pattie Cheney; his parents-in-law, Willard and Vera Mae Shuler; and his great grandchild Lucas Cheney.
He is survived by : his aunt Dillie; his uncle Ed Carr; his wife Myrtle Cheney (Shuler); his son Melvin Cheney (Tina) of Quincy; and his grandchildren, Deana Coleman, Kevin Cheney (Krista), Brian Cheney (Shannon), Alishia Harscher (Brad), Darren Cheney, Melissa Thomas (John) and Christina Breuer (Tyler).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Quincy Police Department, Blessing Hospice, or the Quincy Humane Society.
