It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon L. Holthaus of Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick McCaughey and Berniece McCaughey (Hickey); her former husband Gregory Holthaus; and her husband Bob. She is survived by: her children, Robert Schmelzle (Justine Ozaki) of Seattle, WA, Kathy Rossmiller (Raymond) of Quincy, Mark Schmelzle (Robin) of Quincy, Susan Sanders (Bill) of Quincy, Lisa Barnes (Dane) of Quincy and Lynn Ehmen (Ryan) of Springfield, IL; her stepdaughter Gail DeGreeff (Lou) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Andy Schmelzle, Daniel Spohr, Tyler Spohr, Ryan Spohr, Rodney Evans, David Sanders, Danielle Sanders, A. J. Barnes, Halle Barnes, Peri Jane Ehmen, Bennett Ehmen, Rowan Ehmen, Josie Ehmen, Christina Adler and Angela Fisher; and her siblings, Donna Schelich, Patricia Dorsey and Greg McCaughey.
