She is survived by: her children, John Merkel (Carolyn) of Foristell, MO, Jane Burton of Quincy and James Merkel (Michele) of Lake St; her daughter-in-law Marsha Merkel of Quincy; her grandchildren, Jeff Merkel of Quincy, Jennifer Howie (Michael) of Chatham, IL, Sarah Dvorak (Nate) of O'Fallon, MO, Katie Burton of Omaha, NE, Mike Burton of Ballwin, MO, Jimmy Merkel (Katie) of O'Fallon, MO and Kayla Hauk (Jason) of Foristell, MO; and her great grandchildren, Julia, Kiersten Howie, Quintin J. Bright, Kolton Phipps, Tanner Dvorak, Brynlee, Mirrah Merkel, Riley Hauk and Lincoln Hauk. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
