He is survived by: his children, Ralph and Mary; his grandchildren, Tom Van Ness (Lesley) of Morton Il, Ben Van Ness (Amanda) of Quincy, Allison Oakley Hall (Dustin) of Quincy, Jonathan Van Ness (Mark Peacock) of Austin, TX and Sullivan Oakley (Joseph Burg) of Oakland, CA.; his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Reekie (Don Krutmeier) of Quincy; his great grandchildren, Olivia Van Ness of Quincy, Liam Hall of Quincy, Sterling Van Ness, Cameron Van Ness of Morton, Anne Hall of Quincy, Emma Van Ness of Quincy and Oliver Hall of Quincy; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isla of Quincy, Campbell of Quincy, Cora of Quincy, Ailsa Reekie of Quincy, Brynn of Quincy and Carter Krutmeier of Quincy; his siblings-in-law, Mary Oakley, Signe Oakley of Quincy, Mabel McDonald of Raleigh and Ralph McDonald (Meg McLaurin) of Raleigh; and his nieces and nephews, David R Oakley, Jr., Michael A. Oakley, Timothy K. Oakley, Susan Oakley Gauthier, Cathy Oakley Bunce, Peter A. Oakley II and Harold B. Oakley. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
