Vernon left this world on October 8, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold William and Helen Maurine Hicks Tippett. He is survived by: his wife Janice Tippett of Venice, Florida; his children, Michael Harold Tippett of San Diego, California and Julia Lynn (Scott Lewis); his grandchildren, Nicole (Spencer Allen) and Lauren (Bryan Bickett); his great grandchildren, Adalyn Allen, Avery Allen and Caroline Bickett; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Gerth, Bill, Donna Shoop, Debbie and Randy Sharp.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memphis Funeral Home (378 S Market St, Memphis, MO 63555). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Vernon Tippett may be left to the Alzheimer's Association or the Memphis United Methodist Church.
