She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewellyn Barnes and Emma Arnold Barnes; her former life partner Anthony Achilles; her husband Herman Sparrow; her sisters, Bonnie Mathes of Quincy, IL and Joanne Brown of Quincy, IL; her daughter Patricia Friday; and her grandsons, Gaylord Wayne Friday and James Lee Prewitt.
She is survived by : her daughter Mary Stice (Gene) of Quincy, IL; her grandson Christopher Prewitt (Stephanie) of Quincy, IL; her brother Alan Barnes of Quincy, IL; and her daughter Judy Pierce of Maywood, MO. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Quincy Humane Society.
