He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Doellman; his children, Thomas Birchfield, Janice McArthur (David), Amy Willer (Rodney Brinkman) and Christina Brueck (Joshua); his daughter-in-law Lisa Birchfield; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wood (Nathan), Thomas Birchfield, Jr. (Arren McCrystal), Brian Birchfield (Anna), Joey Birchfield (Michelle), Stephanie Gonzales (Bobby), Kim Sarzynski (Cyrille), Kevin Birchfield (Casey), Christopher McArthur, Elaine Rhodes (Richard), Joshua McArthur, Nicholas Willer (Shari), Megan White, Mason Birchfield (Kaitlyn McColez), Madison Brueck and Ian Brueck; and his great grandchildren, Josh Flores, Marisa Flores, Mason Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Nathan Wood, Maddy Dean, Ari Stewart, Tyler Birchfield, Mila Gonzales, Danilo Gonzales, Lucien Sarzynski, Amelie Sarzynski, Athena Shaw, Jaden Birchfield, Evelyn Birchfield, Kaylee McArthur, Gabe White, Silas White, Aryanna McColez, Alexandria Birchfield, Jonah and Cole Willer.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1119 S 7th St, Quincy, IL 62301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
