He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Melvin and Margret A. Penn Ashmore; and his siblings, James W. Ashmore, Katherine Rodgers and Dorothy Welden.
He is survived by: his wife Marie A. DeSutter; his daughter Kimberly Harvey of Quincy; his grandchildren, Sage Meleney (Morgan) of Quincy, IL and Trinity Fasnacht of Quincy; his great grandchild Kayce Allan Moss; and his sister Edith Krug of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
