We announce the death of Nancy Jo Mason of Rankin, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 71. Nancy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Eugene and Helen Lorraine Schieler (Herbert); her spouse Thomas Mason; her brother Jerry Schieler; and her brother-in-law Larry Tyler.
She is survived by: her son Kellen Robert Piffner of Seattle, WA; her sister Marilyn Tyler of Rankin, IL; her sister-in-law Marie Schieler of Hoopeston, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Tricia Freeland (John), Angie Schieler (Brian Street), Robert Schieler (Dee), Cindy Brown (Garry), Connie Davis (Greg) and Tim Tyler (Joy).
