Rita J. Buenting Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 87, Rita J. Buenting of Rantoul, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Clementz and Margie Clementz; her husband Vernon "Pete" Buenting; her son Jeffrey Buenting; and her sisters, Mary Alford and Pat Cain.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Buenting (Linda) of Decatur and Kenneth Buenting (Julie) of Champaign; her grandchildren, Danielle Lammert (Joe) of St. Louis, Elizabeth Rotz (Joey) of Decatur, Hannah Batchelder (Aaron) of Decatur, Kailey Blasingame (Jacob) of Monticello and Conner Buenting of Peoria; her great grandchildren, Lillian, Zoey Rotz and Jace Blasingame; and her siblings, Barb Quinlan of Rantoul, Nancy Clementz, Behimer of Carbondale and Charles Clementz of Urbana.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church (500 Church Dr, Rantoul, IL 61866). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in Rita's name to the Bethany Park Clothing Center.
