He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Slightom and Veda Slightom (Wilson); and his sisters, Janice White and Julie Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Jane Ellington of Raymond; his children, James "Jim" Slightom (Melinda) of Raymond, Joel Slightom (Stefanie) of Waggoner, Theresa Monson (Kirk) of Auburn, Cathy Vicari (Jeremy) of Palmyra, Danny Hough (Brenda Tyree) of Hillsboro and David Hough (Karen) of Hillsboro; his siblings, David Slightom (Gloria) of Joliet, Dennis Slightom of Virden and Jo Ellen Moore (Rusty) of Virden; and his close friend Buddy. He is also survived by several grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Living Center (418 Springfield Rd, Raymond, IL 62560). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
