He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hitzemann and Esther Hitzemann; his wife Bonnie K. Stellhorn; his siblings-in-law, Becky Stellhorn, John Eggerding, Karl Stellhorn and Darryl Stellhorn; his nephews, Devin and Derek Stellhorn; and his in-laws, Kenneth and Geneva Stellhorn.
He is survived by: his sons, Chris (Beth) and Andrew (Theresa); his sister Geraldine; his sisters-in-law, Lynnette Stellhorn and Lynn Hubert (Tom); and his grandchildren, Ella, Evan, Luke, Georgie Hitzemann, Maddox, Camden and Quincy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (508 Bloom St, Red Bud, IL 62278).
