He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Liefer and Lily Liefer; his son-in-law Donald Buch; his brother Lowell Liefer; and his siblings-in-law, Roland Hanebutt, Earl Ruez, Victor Kruse, Robert Heller, Gilbert Seboldt and Estelle Saurwein (Glenn).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Liefer; his children, Randall Liefer (Jane), Michael Liefer (Angela), Christine Buch and Gary Liefer; his grandchildren, Jacob Liefer (Kate), Rachel Burns (Arik), Clinton Liefer (Kristi), Bradley Liefer, Nicholas Liefer (Mallory), Taylor Crain (Andrew), Ethan Buch (Amy), Jenna Andrews (Kensey) and Chad Buch (Morgan); his sisters, Margaret Hanebutt and Dorothy; and his sisters-in-law, Ardell Kruse, Wilma and Mildred. He is also survived by Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
