In loving memory of Thomas T. Smith of Red Bud, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who departed this world on November 22, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Smith and Mae Smith; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Hazel McCarthy; and his brothers-in-law, Allan McCarthy (Irene) and Pat McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Smith; his children, Brian, Patrick (Dorothy), Christine (Michael), Suzanne (Eric) and Theodore (Tyler); his grandchildren, Natasha, Ivan, Audrey, Ian, Marie, Steven and Ezra; and his sisters-in-law, Jane McCarthy and Gertie Eshom (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Patrick's Catholic Church (1 Pioneer Ln, Ruma, IL 62278). A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to: American Red Cross or St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tom's honor.
