She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Masching and Alice Masching; her husband Donald O'Brien; her son Donald Lawrence O'Brien Jr.; her siblings, Ed Masching (Lucille), Rita King (Marion) and Lucille Turner (Dennis "Mac"); and her brother-in-law Kim Schott.
She is survived by: her children, William O'Brien (Cheryl) of Reddick, IL, John O'Brien of Reddick, IL, Patrick O'Brien (Karen) of Reddick, IL, Melinda Hogan (Dan) of Buckingham, IL and Mary Kay O'Brien (Todd Gereaux) of Essex, IL.; her grandchildren, Matt (Laura Hogan), Will (Lauren Hogan), Jack Hogan, Mackenzie O'Brien (Tom Molloy), Donnie O'Brien (Melody), Connor O'Brien, Colleen Hodge (Garrett), Jacqueline Prairie (Brandon), Mason, Michael, Matthew Gereaux, Kelsey Donath (Mike), Ashley O'Brien and Maggie O'Brien; her siblings, Bill Masching (Donna) of Cabery, IL and Ruth Schott of Herscher, IL; her brother-in-law Paul O'Brien of Herscher, IL.; and her caregiver Susan Tjelle. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (216 E Lincoln St, Reddick, IL 60961). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Station (401 S Columbia St, Dwight, IL 60420).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women.
