He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emery Leroy and Sadie Kruse Doonan; his wife Virginia L. Johnson; his son Victor D. Doonan; his great grandchildren, Arthur Liam Doonan and Harper Ann Doonan; his children, Kirk Doonan (Annette) of Viola and Jennifer Taylor (Don) of Kirkwood; and his grandchildren, Justin Taylor (Jessica), Alex Doonan, David Doonan (Ashlee), Andrew Doonan (Ana), Alisa Randolph, Victoria Taylor (Jose Lira) and Michael Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ARC of the Quad Cities or the Keithsburg Fire Department, both of which reflect the spirit of community that Emery cherished.
