He was predeceased by : his parents, O. F. Bond and Lorene Bond (Clark); his wife Linda M. Klaffer; and his brothers, Carroll Gene, Cleve, Cletus Doc and Doug Bond.

He is survived by : his children, Carmen (Teddy Gautney), Cindy (Larry Smith) and Jeff Bond of Norris City; his siblings, Joyce Bond of O'Fallon and Carl (Linda Bond); his grandchildren, Brittiny Bond, Kevin Stucky of Carmi, Dakota Bond, Grace Duncan of Evansville, Kade Bond, Kenna Bond of Norris City, Cody, Kristen Broadway of Herrin, Denver, Cari Broadway of Enfield, Breanna Broadway, Dax Norris of Foley, Anakin, Parker, Gracie Gautney of Fairhope, Jared, Ardon Smith of Ridgway, Larenda and Kyle Woods of Eldorado; and his sister-in-law Jane Bond of Ridgway. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vickery Funeral Chapel (602 E Edwards St, Ridgway, IL 62979). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
