We bid farewell to Larry Carl Thompson of Ridott, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Larry Carl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thompson and Berniece Thompson (Rutter); his wife Joy Louise Mordick; his daughter Holly Thompson; his granddaughter Sadie Thompson; his great grandchild Alaiya J'Lee Stark; his sister Pat Erickson; and his brother-in-law James Mordick.
He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Thompson of Freeport and Sherrie Thompson (John O'Connor) of Freeport; his sister Mary Kay Baumann of Baileyville, IL; and his grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan), Nathaniel (Dulce), Haley, Ginger, Colter, Bobbi, Tyler and Trevor. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lincoln Park.
A memorial has been established in Larry's memory.
