She is survived by: her husband Vern Weidner; her children, Nicholas, Troy (Lauren), Cade Fontana, Bria Spiniolas (Craig) and Jessalyn Brugnoni (Giancarlo); her sister Florence Powers; and her niece Chayce Powers. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
As an accomplished author, Susan shared her vast nursing knowledge with the world through her contributions to medical journals and textbooks, leaving a lasting impact on the field. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, as evidenced by her decision to donate one of her kidneys to a random patient on her 60th birthday – a testament to her unwavering commitment to helping others.
