Linda McCreary Obituary
We announce the death of Linda McCreary of River Forest, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James; and her sister Sue Boyer. She is survived by: her children, Christine Odeen (Keith), Karen Hawk (Paul), Daniel McCreary (Kelly) and Matthew McCreary (Jessica Yee); her grandchildren, Alexis (Adam Bontje), Wesley, Miles, Elliott, Everett, Madelyn, Warren, Harlan, Leo and Finley; and her sister Janice Rockwell (Dean). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home (7319 Madison St, Forest Park, IL 60130). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Giles Catholic Church (1045 Columbian Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302).
