Rita C. Kestler Obituary
The memory of Rita C. Kestler (River Forest, Illinois), who passed away on June 13, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid adieu to Rita's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Rita has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Pokrzewinski and Helen Pokrzewinski (Guzowski); her husband Gerard Kestler; and her daughter Cynthia Kestler. She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Retzloff (Kenneth) and Judith Marshall (Dick); her grandchildren, Martin and Shelby Owens; and her brother Justus Pokrzewinski (Marcel). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Church (1530 Jackson Ave, River Forest, IL 60305). A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location.
