He was predeceased by: his brother John; his sister-in-law Evelyn; his sister Marjorie; and his grandson Toby Gard. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean; his son Brian (Heather); his granddaughter Leah; his son Kevin (Amy); his grandchildren, Macy, Tatum and Gavin; his son Loren (Claire); his brother-in-law Marv Setzke (Victoria); and his nieces, Tiffiany, Allison, Jennifer and Julie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Lutheran Church (5980 County Hwy 73, Evergreen, CO 80439).
1995, one of his students, who was at U.S. Military Academy at West Point, recognized Tom with the Boettcher Foundation Teacher Recognition Award.
