He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Z. Giganti and Rose Giganti (Randazzo); his son Carl Giganti; and his siblings, Pietra Giganti, Dr. James, Paul and Nick Giganti.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Butkis; his daughter Rose Mutzbauer of Riverton; his grandchildren, Carmyn, Nino (Jessi), Ellie and Gracie; and his great grandchild Kaizer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 3:45 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (112 6th St, Riverton, IL 62561).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
