William Rees Obituary
We announce the death of William Rees of Riverton, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 39. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. William will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew William will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. William’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his father Danny Rees; and his grandparents, Leroy, Nancy Rees, Eugene and Barbara Scattergood.
He is survived by: his mother Debra Rees (Scattergood); his children, Addyson, Connor and Colt Rees; and his siblings, Jean Hillyer (Jim), Michael Rees (Nicole) and Nicole Rees. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many beloved extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fullenwider Park Funeral Home (200 S Church St, Mechanicsburg, IL 62545). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
