He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold S. Blunier and Emma H. Rocke Blunier; his wife Marjorie A. Himstedt; his daughter Susan Blunier; and his sister Sharon Kellenberger.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Blunier (Cathy), Greg Blunier (JulieAnn) and Linda Kupferschmid (Chad); and his siblings, Melvin Blunier (Marilyn) and Marilyn Ott (Robert). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
