She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva W. Heard and Thelma M. Heard (Roberts); her former husband Ronald C. Barnett; her husband Gerald E. "Jerry" Hooks; her brothers, Billy, Jimmie and Winford Heard; her mother-in-law Lucille Barnett Schmidt; and her sister-in-law Jolene Whitley.
She is survived by: her son Jerry; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Hooks of Robinson, IL; her daughters, Judy (D. R. Smith), Pam (Bob Jones), Rhonda (K. L. Kimmel) and Cindy (Tom Grimm); her grandchildren, Riley (Lauren Gullett), Ronnie (Megan Jones), Sierra (Brant Fuller), Cassy Hooks of Robinson, IL, Christina (Ruben Rico), Garrett Kimmel (Shane Wycoff), Danny Smith of Flat Rock, IL, Jason Kimmel of Salem, OR and Teresa (Jordan Sturgeon); and her siblings-in-law, Janeth (Frank Stewart), Steve Whitley, Mary Nelson and Joan Heard. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, a sister.
The family suggests memorial contributions to The Shriner's Hospital for Children or to St. Jude's Hospital for Children with envelopes available at the funeral home.
