He was predeceased by: his parents, William David "Willie" Thacker and Lena Thacker (Baker); his wife Betty Jane Black; his granddaughters, Charity King and Shannon Graham; and his siblings, Mervin Thacker, Melvin Thacker, Lenore Vaughn, Junior Thacker, Edith Mugrage, Kenneth Thacker and Mary Lou Broadwater.
He is survived by: his children, Rob, Marlene Thacker, Sheryl McMillan, Marty and Karen Thacker; his grandchildren, Paige, Jericho Dennis, Grayson Thacker, Kelcey Thacker, Mitchell Thacker, Cole Chipman, Camden Thacker and Abby Chipman; his great grandchildren, Brandon Chenevert, Bretton Chenevert, Krison Graham, Kellen Dennis, Rowyn Dennis and Storey Dennis; his great great grandchildren, Sophia Chenevert and Emeri Bordelon; his sister Norma Jean; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Shacklee, Leona Thacker and Louise Black. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Goodwine Funeral Home - Robinson (303 E Main St, Robinson, IL 62454). A masonic service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 2:15 PM at the same location.
