It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Arline L. She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer A. Payne and Cecil I. Payne (Ford); her husband Roger Thompson; and her siblings, Donald Payne, Velma Smith and Maxine Brown.

She is survived by : her children, Rick Meador (Carla) of Queen Creek, AZ, Jim Meador of Rochelle, Phillip Meador (Barbara) of Oregon, IL, Carolyn Koontz (Steve) of Livingston, MT and Shirley Crenshaw (David) of Coeur d'Alene, ID; her stepchildren, Alan Thompson (Sue) of Rockford, IL and Dr. Karen Thompson (Brian O'Donnell) of Taveres, FL; her brother Clyde Payne (Doris) of Oregon, IL; and her grandchildren, Vickie Futterer (Chris), Kelly Koontz (Jennifer), Amy Jarman (Charlie), Brandon Meador, Jessica Rainwater (Cole), Danielle Brooks (Chris), Tori Pohl (Nick), Brittney Barnett (Jason), Nathan Meador, Ryan Thompson (Lindsey) and Mallory Finan (Christopher). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (810 Woolf Ct, Rochelle, IL 61068).

Memorials may be made in Arline's memory to the Hub City Senior Center or the First Baptist Church.
