He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin and Lois Eileen Hickey (Hart); his brother Joseph Hickey; his brothers-in-law, Paul Goken and Homer Whitesel; and his niece Brenna Hickey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Goken of Rochelle, Charles Hickey (Linda) of Somonauk, Robert Hickey of Rochelle, Michael Hickey (Veronica) of Amboy, Ellen Hazzard (Mark) of Winnebago, Barbara Whitesel of Rochelle, Lawrence Hickey (Jody) of Winnebago and Patrick Hickey (Susan) of Chattanooga, Tennessee.. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews and 26 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (231 W Kirke Gate, Lee, IL 60530). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church in Lee.
