He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin J. Burkhart and Verdell E. Burkhart (Gittleson); and his sister Bernice Hagemann. He is survived by: his wife Karen Ann Richey-Beardin of Steward, IL; his children, Joy Mullins (Don) of Stillman Valley, IL, Hollie Elshoff (Mike) of Ashton, IL, John Burkhart (Tonya) of West Brooklyn, IL and George Burkhart (Lisa) of West Brooklyn, IL; his mother-in-law Evelyn Beardin; his grandchildren, Brian Elshoff (Samantha), Katelyn Holland (Pearce), Kortney Powell (Matt Davis), Tyler Echelbarger, Blake Burkhart (Ashely O'Brian), Connor Burkhart and Ethan Annen (Becky); and his great grandchildren, Paisley Elshoff, William Annen and Allison.
