He is survived by: his son Jimmy Read; his siblings-in-law, Kay Garvin and Richard Garvin; his stepsons, Brian and Jeff Deutschler; and his stepdaughter-in-law Kristi McCarthy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a family of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Conley Funeral Home (116 W Pierce St, Elburn, IL 60119). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the same location.
