In loving memory of Janet Grimes (Rochelle, Illinois), born in Dixon, Illinois, who departed this world on July 14, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas L. Grimes, Sr.; her parents, Leroy Helfrich and Tressa Helfrich (Woodyatt); her stepfather William Docter; her sister Donna Halfacre (Helfrich); and her close friend Mary Lou Smith.
She is survived by: her sister Sandy Steder (Helfrich) of Dixon, IL; her sons, Thomas L. Jr. Grimes (Mary) of Dixon, IL and David A Grimes (Victoria) of Dixon, KY.; and her grandchildren, Devin, Michael, Tara, Ben, Emily and Dreyton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home.
