He was predeceased by: his parents, August Engelkes and Lorena Engelkes; his brother Jerry Allen; his brother-in-law Rae Kersten; and his nephew Mike Kersten.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sherryl Kersten and Ron Engelkes (Lynnetta); his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Mark, Scott Engelkes, Michelle Ramirez and Lori Talley; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexis Lowe (Cooper), Nate Ramirez, Kristin Priest and James Talley.
