We are sad to announce that, on January 8, 2026, at the age of 92, Richard Paul Herrmann of Rochelle, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Herrmann and Catherine Herrmann (DeCourcey); and his brother Captain Donald Herrmann. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jane Cannella of Hinckley, IL; his stepdaughter Amanda Popelka (John) of Hinckley, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Danielle Popelka, Mark Popelka and Natalie Popelka; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brian Popelka, Trista Popelka-Weekly, Chloe Popelka-Zwart, Monte, Charlotte Popelka, Hazelynn and Theodore Jordan.

Memorials may be made in Richard's memory to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
