He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin E. Strang and Lorraine Strang (Baker); and his granddaughter Hailey Hershberger. He is survived by: his wife Sally Sawicki of Rochelle; his children, Wendy Schmitt (Michael) of Rochelle, Jennifer Edwards (David) of Mocksville, NC, Master, Brandon Strang (Danelle) of Jacksonville, NC, Crystal McRoberts of Waterman, IL and Natalie Wolf (Joe) of Sycamore, IL; his sisters, Sue Golden (Denny), Karen Pearson (Roger), Christy Hawkins (Al) and Lisa Woodworth (Charlie); his sister-in-law Sue Sawicki; his grandchildren, Sydney Webster (Ben), Tyler Isham-Schmitt (Amber), Dylan Isham, Kristen Schmitt, Eryn Vesta, James Vesta, Jr. (Lily), Jacobi Peterson, Zoe McCauley, Andrea Carlson (Tom), Cody McRoberts, Adin Strang, Elizabeth, Ava Clark, Gavin, Caden and Owen Wolf; and his great grandchildren, Ezra, Eliana Webster, Jordan Carlson and Camilla Ramirez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lindenwood Union Church (101 Galena St, Lindenwood, IL 61049).
