He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grennan and Mary Grennan (McKenna); his brothers, Bill Grennan and Jack Grennan (Cheryl); and his brother-in-law Ron Primrose.

He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Jason Grennan (Alexandria) of Palatka, Florida, Angie McGough (Darryl) of Rochelle and Jeremy Grennan (Rebecca) of Palatka, Florida; his sister Pat Primrose of Rochelle; his sister-in-law Elke Grennan of Rochelle; and his grandchildren, Elijah, Violet, Lily Grennan, McKenna Montes, Miraya Montes, Gabriel Montes, Grace Montes-McGough, Jackson McGough and Jude Grennan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission or the Rochelle Food Pantry.
