He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Roese and Lila Roese (Bouvet). He is survived by : his wife Nancy Jean Roese (Spengler); his daughters, Brandy Thomas (Dale Jr.) and Laurel Brown (Michael); his grandchildren, Adain Roese, Sylvia Thomas and Philip Brown; and his brother Robert L. Roese (Marsha).
