He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Allen and Permelia Hinds (Ringler); his former wife Jeanne M. Vosylius; his daughter Laurie Segar; and his grandson Little Ed.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his children, Jeanie Edwards (Paul) of Springfield and Mark Hinds of Springfield; his stepson Jason Webber of Rochester; and his grandchildren, Kayla Brinkmeyer (Chris), Deanna Scherrer (Brandon), Kyle Edwards, Nicholas Hinds and Erica Segar. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
