She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Dowdy and Bertha Dowdy (Kerney); her husband Edward L. Fleming; her son-in-law James Shanks; and her siblings, Ray, Roy Dowdy, Elva Elizabeth Cravens, Sylvia Mahan, Leta B. Hogge and Wanda Lowis.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Shanks of Taylorville, IL, Lori Norris of Roswell, GA, Susan Nesvold (Tim) of Watertown, MN and Anthony Fleming (Diana) of Arvada, CO; her grandchildren, Derek Norris (Heather), Andrew Shanks (Stacey), Nathan Shanks (Torie), Nicole Schuelke (Jeff), Aaron Norris (Lindsay), Seth Barnes (Amanda), Kori and Hailey Fleming; her great grandchildren, Deacon, Calum and Judson Shanks; her grandchildren, Slade, Tommi Shanks, Luke, Elliott Norris, Hudson, Aeden Schuelke and Lily Barnes; and her sisters, Opal "Chris" Lowis of Springfield, IL and Deanna Palaschak (Ron) of Springfield, IL..
