She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Smith and Norma Babcook; her spouse Elza "Rusty" Smith; her stepfather Jim Babcook; her brother Lynn Smith; her siblings-in-law, Kenny Grant and Kathy Smith; her nephew Nicholas Williams; her children, Jason Baptiste, Brian Smith, Melissa Smith and Kim Moore (Matt); her grandchildren, Logan Baptiste, Christopher Pettit, Brian Lee Elza Smith, Bradyn Andrew Robert Smith, Micah Baptiste, Kinley Richardson, Wesley Myers, Keaton Moore, Thea Moore, Jack Richardson and Walker Moore; her siblings, Jimmy Smith, Robert Smith, Yvonna Williams (Danny), Sherry Grant, Jay Bradley Babcook (Mary) and Tommy Smith; and her children, McKinley, Reagan and Weston Releford. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home & Cremation (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
