He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Benhart and Roberta Benhart (Cluts); and his siblings, Donna Haney and Daniel Benhart. He is survived by: his daughters, Danielle Balsley (Ryan) of Sterling and Deena Johnson (Kelly) of Bloomington; his siblings, Diane Stratton (Roger) of Schaumburg and Dale Benhart of West Chicago; and his grandchildren, Kylie, Ethan, Noah, Theo, Emerson, Rexlynn and Hayden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
