He is survived by: his wife Shirla Payne; his children, Kimmy Sue Martin (Brett) of Sterling, Jimmy Troxell of Rock Falls and Angie "Bumpkin" Johnson (Chad) of Rock Falls; his siblings, Kay Brown of Harmon, Mary Finkle (Marvin) of Rock Falls and Tom Troxell (Gwen) of Walnut; his grandchildren, Steven Troxell (Yvette Bailey), Tristen Archer (Karrissa), Bryce Archer (Jess), Koltyn Stombaugh, Jaxsyn Johnson, Jakob Johnson (Mackenzie King) and Jasan Johnson (Autumn); his great grandchildren, Rielyn, Brooklyne, Haighzel, Asia, Isaiah, Julian, Reign, Atlas, Emery and Jayce; and his close friend Michelle Greggs.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (505 1st Ave, Sterling, IL 61081). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
