He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Bartel and Frances Margaret Bartel (Callahan). He is survived by: his wife Judi; his children, Pat Bartel, Mike Bartel (Angel), Nikki Osborne (Troy) and Katie Pilgrim (Dave); his grandchildren, Megan Emerson, Shelby Emerson, Caleb Newell, Baleigh Osborne, Brady Osborne, Brycen Bartel, Jace Murphy, Brenyn Bartel and Alexa Pilgrim; his great grandchildren, Skyler, Everlee and Easton Harris; and his siblings-in-law, Richard, Sharon Steinhagen (Brauer) and Andy Gray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are being requested in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Newman Central Catholic High School.
