He is survived by: his wife Laura Buikema; his son Edward Buikema; his siblings, Frances Damhoff of Morrison, Dick Buikema (Ruth) of Eldridge, IA, Charlotte Houzenga of Sterling, Ted Buikema (Hazel) of Rock Falls and Martha Smith (Don) of Morrison; and his sister-in-law Shirley Buikema.
