She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Rains and Clara Mae Rains (Rowlett); and her siblings, Donald, Ronald Rains and Shelly Rains.
She is survived by: her husband William A. Cherry; her sons, Christopher Cherry (Beth) of Danville, IN and Michael Cherry of Pittsburg, IL; her granddaughter Zoe Cherry; and her siblings, Betty Shaw of Janesville, WI, Janet Rains of Orfordville, WI, Lisa Alarcon (Alfonzo) of Poplar Grove, IL and Douglas Rains of Beloit, WI.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (505 1st Ave, Sterling, IL 61081).
